UWATEC Homepage Aladin Interfaces

You want to upload your dive stats from your Aladin but you don't want to buy the expensive interface from Uwatec ?
Here there are four easy and cheap interfaces. All of them are only for the DOS version of DataTrak/DataTalk, but you can view the uploaded logfiles with the windows version.

Download DataTrak/DataTalk for Windows

Interface 1

Direction : Aladin > PC  ,  PC > Aladin
Software : DataTrak and DataTalk for DOS
Comments : It's not recommendable to build this circuit without oscilloscope. The potentiometer must be changed until a rectangle signal comes out of pin 2 of the D-Type connector.
The proper value depends on the length of the cables to your Aladin.

Interface 2

Direction : Aladin > PC  ,  PC > Aladin
Software : DataTrak and DataTalk for DOS
Comments : Too much components, but no adjustables.

Interface 3

Direction : Aladin > PC
Software : DataTrak for DOS
Comments : The whole circuit fits in the housing of a 9pin D-Type connector and there are only 3 very usual components necessary :
- any small 0.7V diode
- resistor with 22k Ohm
- OpAmp UA741 or similar type

Interface 4

Direction : Aladin > PC
Software : DataTrak for DOS
Comments : This interface needs only 2 components, but the size of the DS1488N (14 pin) is to big to put it into a usual 9pin D-Type housing.
